The Pyrenees have a great biodiversity. It may be because of the variety of climates as well as because of its situation in one of the most important bird migration north-south routes between Europe and Africa.
Altitude in the Aragonese Pyrenees goes from 500 to 3.404 metres; this gives rise to a great variety of environments. We can find a typically Mediterranean climate as well as an extremely cold boreal conditions in the summits of high mountains.
Each one of these environments, together with all the special geological conditions, also give rise to a great number of flora and fauna species that can be easily seen.
